Habitat Youth Coalition is launching its first youth leadership conference series this November.
Our goal for this event is to raise awareness about current social issues and to encourage community involvement from our future leaders! High school students from grades 9-12 are welcome to join us.
The event is comprised of guest speakers and strategic workshops that are developed to spread awareness of local and international issues. We kick off our conferences with a motivational speaker. Students are then broken up into groups where they will attend workshops throughout the day. Each workshop is developed and implemented by a teacher which includes interactive and engaging activities. In these smaller groups, students will have a chance to explore specific issues while working collaboratively with one another. At the end of each workshop, teachers will provide resources and ideas on how to take action.
Also, the time you spent at the conference can go towards your high school volunteer hours! So register and join us to make a difference in our communities!
